When the current owner took possession of this architecturally significant building designed in 1959 by prominent Seattle architect O.M Bumgardner, it had suffered decades of neglect and a number of unsympathetic interior remodels. Budgetary limitations dictated that work we retain the existing glazing, mechanical distribution and portions of the interior build-out. SABA used selective demolition, careful placement of new interior walls and fresh interior finishes to reinforce the building's iconic mid-century lines while bringing the space in-line with current functional and aesthetic requirements
