This project marks the third expansion for this institute’s non-profit known for their artificial intelligence research. While their main headquarters are located in a new, flashy building offering great views to Lake Union, this expansion space was in a building that was a little old and a little drab. The client challenged the team to create a space that employees would want to work in just as much as their other location.
SABA got creative and designed a space emphasizing light and openness. Through the use of strong conceptual renderings and thoughtful planning, the design breathed life back into a challenging interior.
As you enter the lobby, varied height partitions made of an dichroic glass help punctuate the main circulation through the suite and provide a bold focal point. Dynamic and thoughtful textures in the break-room provide a subtle complement and balance the brightness of the open office.
